Where do you get your products?

We personally travel to Mexico to source all our products directly from our partner artisans. There is no middleman involved, we deal directly with the makers and pay them a fair price for their crafts. This ensures the authenticity and quality of each handmade piece Artemex carries. We choose to work with small, family-based businesses and workshops as that has been a priority of ours from the beginning. Our products come from all over Mexico as each craft originates from a slightly different region. We work with experienced and reputable artisans to develop products that combine the traditional Mexican crafting techniques with our vision, resulting in some totally unique items.

Where are you located & how do I order your products?

Artemex is based in West Kelowna, BC, Canada. We offer our products online through our website. Customers are also welcome to contact us to arrange to view our products in person. If you are an Okanagan local or are planning to visit our beautiful city, we have free local pickup available. Simply use the coupon code ‘OKGNLOCAL’ at checkout to waive shipping fees.

What locations do you ship to and how does it work?

We ship globally, no matter where you are located you will be able to receive our authentic Mexican Handcrafts right to your doorstep. Simply add the items you wish to purchase to your cart and proceed through the checkout process. Our website will generate your shipping cost based on your order and location and you will be prompted to pay through our secure online portal. Once we receive your order, we will ship it out as fast as humanly possible and you will receive a tracking number once it has gone out via email. Next thing you know your home will be transformed by beautiful Mexican color!

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

The delivery time for your order depends on the shipping service you select and your location. When you choose a shipping service at checkout an estimated delivery time will also be displayed. These time frames are usually accurate, but there can be variation, with shipments arriving both earlier and later than expected. During peak shipping seasons throughout the year such as Christmas and Cyber Monday, delivery times may experience a delay. We always encourage our customers to keep this in mind. Please note that once your order has been shipped it is in the hands of the courier, as much as we wish we could, we cannot speed up this process.

Is your Talavera dishware safe for the dishwasher? microwave? & is it lead-free?

All our Talavera dishware can be put in the dishwasher and microwave. We are also proud that our Talavera collection is entirely lead-free and intended for food and beverage consumption.

Do you offer wholesale opportunities?

We sure do. We have many clients who source our products for various purposes. The best way to get started is to reach out to us and let us know which items you are interested in along with the quantity for each. The more information you can provide to get started, the better. As you know, our products are all made in Mexico and we must account for production and transportation times.

Can I make a special request for an item from Mexico?

We always try our best to accommodate special requests. Our focus is now on Talavera products, we welcome you to contact us if you are looking for something specific. If you are interested in a product that is currently sold out, contact us and we can put you on the waitlist for when it is replenished.

What is the currency of the prices on your website?

All prices displayed on our website are in Canadian dollars. This includes both product and shipping prices.
