Talavera is an iconic and traditional Mexican technique dating back to the 16th century. Only natural clays are used, rather than chemically treated and dyed clays and the handcrafting process takes three to four months. This lengthy process is inherently risky because the piece could break at any point during production, making Talavera more costly than many other types of pottery. As a result, Mexican Talavera artisans have been under pressure from imitations, commonly from China. All our authentic Mexican dishware is entirely handcrafted and hand painted in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. Each piece is filled with beautiful floral designs and intricate patterns. All our pieces are lead free, oven and dishware safe. Add a warm touch of color to your home with our Talavera Dishware Collection.
Shortly after the birth of our beautiful daughter Autumn, we realized that we needed a lifestyle change. It was no longer just the two of us, our family had expanded and our priorities needed a reshuffle. We wanted to create an environment where she could grow up surrounded by unconditional and constant love from the both of us.
